As Founding Head Master, Simon brings a deep commitment to values-led education and a vision for excellence that blends tradition with innovation.

Educated at The King’s School, Rochester – one of England’s oldest public schools – Simon experienced first-hand the transformative power of a character-driven education. This formative experience has shaped his career and continues to inspire his dedication to ensuring every pupil enjoys the same richness of opportunity, support, and aspiration.

With Harrow School’s 450-year legacy as a foundation, Simon champions the ethos of Tradition Meets Tomorrow, combining the heritage and values of one of Britain’s most esteemed schools with the dynamism and diversity of the UAE. Simon hopes to support Harrow Dubai in cultivating confident, principled, and capable young people through a holistic education that values academic achievement alongside sport, music, the arts, service, and leadership.

Kerry Legg

Head of Junior School

As the founding Head of our Junior School, Kerry Legg brings a wealth of leadership experience and a deep connection to Harrow’s traditions and values. She joins us from Nexus International School Malaysia, where she served as Head of Primary for over three years. Prior to this, she spent five years at Harrow International School Beijing, gaining extensive experience in delivering a distinctive Harrow education.

Kerry is passionate about shaping the future of this prestigious new school, building a strong and inclusive community founded on the Harrow values of courage, honour, humility, and fellowship. She is committed to ensuring that every pupil is inspired to flourish and empowered to make a positive difference in the world.

Nicola Walker

Assistant head of Pastoral

Nicola Walker joins us from Arcadia British School where she is currently Director of Wellbeing. With more than 16 years in education, she brings extensive experience in Early Years, inclusion, pastoral care and safeguarding, with a strong commitment to fostering a supportive and thriving school community.

Florence Martin

Assistant head of curriculum

Florence Martin brings a wealth of leadership experience from schools in both the UK and the UAE, alongside a strong commitment to academic excellence and whole-child development. She has led whole-school curriculum and assessment development, strengthening teaching practice and raising academic standards.

She is passionate about shaping a curriculum that sparks curiosity, builds deep understanding, and develops the whole child. Florence believes that education should be both ambitious and inspiring, ensuring every pupil is challenged, supported, and encouraged to excel.

Florence is dedicated to enriching all aspects of school life, fostering a culture of high expectations, and ensuring every pupil is empowered to achieve their full potential.

Tom Asbury

Director of Sport

Tom is delighted to be joining Harrow International School Dubai as the Founding Director of Sport and is honoured to play a key role in shaping the school’s sporting vision. He is passionate about establishing a sporting culture that reflects Harrow’s proud traditions, inspires every pupil to strive for excellence, and nurtures a lifelong love of participation and performance.

Tom brings over 17 years of experience in education and sports leadership, including ten years as Director of Sport. He has taught at a number of prestigious independent schools across the UK and Dubai and is passionate about holistic education and character development. Tom views sport as an inclusive and powerful tool for empowering young people and believes that education extends far beyond the classroom. He is committed to creating an environment where every pupil feels valued, confident, and secure.

Jessica Phillips

Director of Expressive Arts

Jessica is delighted to be joining Harrow International School Dubai as Director of Expressive Arts and looks forward to championing creativity, confidence, and collaboration through the arts, while contributing to the inspiring legacy of Harrow School.

She has served for the past two years as Director of Expressive Arts at Safa British School, leading provision across both Primary and Secondary while also teaching Drama and LAMDA. In this role, she has championed a vibrant and inclusive arts programme, inspiring creativity and performance across the school.

Prior to this, Jessica spent many years in London as Head of Performing Arts, developing dynamic curricula, directing large-scale productions, and building thriving departments that placed the arts at the heart of school life.

Jason Todd

Director of Inclusion

Jason is delighted to be joining Harrow International School Dubai as Founding Director of Inclusion. He brings over 14 years of experience in Special Educational Needs and Disabilities and is currently serving as Inclusion Lead for an outstanding group of schools in Abu Dhabi.

He is passionate about building a whole-school culture where inclusion is embedded from the very foundation. Jason looks forward to working with the Harrow Dubai community to champion Harrow’s values, ensuring these principles are reflected in inclusive practices so that every pupil feels supported, valued, and empowered to thrive.

Hala Trabolsi

Director of Arabic and Islamic Studies

Hala is truly honored to be joining Harrow International School Dubai as the Founding Director of Arabic and Islamic Studies, contributing to its vision of excellence.

Hala believes that Arabic is not merely a language to be taught, but a culture, a heritage, and a civilization.

Hala brings extensive leadership experience from leading international schools across the UAE. Her focus is to establish a department defined by academic rigor, coherence, and sustained excellence from its inception. She is committed to contributing to Harrow’s distinguished legacy, while further strengthening the provision of Arabic and Islamic Studies within the rich cultural context of Dubai.
